Quintin Dubec

Quintin Dubec:  Keys, saxophone, guitar, and vocals. He was born in Taylor, TX in 1971.  At age 10 he started playing drums for his father’s Czech polka band, Eddie Ray and the Polka Dots.  He studied music at Temple Jr College in the early 90’s.  Quintin was a sound engineer and saxophonist for the central Texas group Lonesome Dove.  In 1995 he moved to Nashville, TN, and became the guitarist, keyboardist, and saxophonist for Curb Records recording artists Blake & Brian until he moved back to Texas to play in local bands such as Scooter Dubec & Sterling Country, Somewhere in Texas & Pete Benz.  In 2004 Quintin became the utility musician for RCA recording artist Tracy Byrd.  In 2006 he went to work as the lead guitarist for Warner Bros. recording artist Rick Trevino where he toured for several years across the US, Mexico, and Europe.  In 2007 he left the road to play guitar, keys, and saxophone for the Debonairs and the Walburg Boys.   In 2010 Quintin moved to Lubbock, TX where he played at Louie Louie’s Piano Bar, sharpening his skills as an entertainer while singing and playing several instruments including piano, guitar, saxophone, drums, bass guitar, and enough fiddle to make it look like he knew what he was doing.  During this time, he also studied jazz at the Texas Tech School of Music.  In 2019, Quintin returned to Central Texas to be closer to family and continue his musical experience with his original band and once again cross all musical boundaries with the Walburg Boys.

In 2021, Quintin opened up a small music school in Walburg Tx, Dubec School of Music (DSM), where he teaches  Piano, Guitar, Bass, Saxophone, and Drums to several students wanting to learn the art of playing Country, Pop, and Rock music.
